Privacy
This page explains, in plain words, what information StarrCart collects and what we do with it.
What we collect when you order
- Your name, email address, and shipping address.
- Your phone number, if you give it. Carriers may use it for delivery.
- What you ordered and how much you paid.
You type your card details on the secure payment page run by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Why we use it
- To fill and ship your order.
- To have our payment company, Stripe, email you a receipt, and to contact you if there is a problem with your order or its delivery.
- To let you check your order on the Track your order page. For this we keep a scrambled code made from your email, not the email itself, so we can check that it matches.
- To handle returns, refunds, fraud checks, and our tax and legal records.
We do not send you advertising emails unless you ask for them.
The daily drop email list
If you use the "Get the daily drop" form and agree to "Email me new daily drops. Unsubscribe anytime.", we save:
- Your email address.
- The words you agreed to, and the date and time you signed up.
- Which form you used (for example, the bottom of the home page).
We use it only to email you about new daily drops. We have not started sending daily drop emails yet. We do not sell or share the list. You can unsubscribe at any time, and every email will have an unsubscribe link. When you unsubscribe, we keep only a note that your email address must not get these emails, so we never add it back by mistake. If you want that note deleted too, contact us.
Cart reminder emails (if you leave checkout without paying)
Stripe keeps a link back to your unpaid cart for up to 30 days, so you can finish your order later.
Stripe's payment page may show a box that lets you agree to get emails from us. Only if you tick that box, and only if you leave without paying, we save:
- Your email address.
- Stripe's link back to your cart.
- The names and prices of the items in your cart.
- When the checkout started and ended, and whether we sent you a reminder.
We never get or keep your card details. We use this only to send you one cart reminder email, at least one hour after you leave checkout, from our store address shopstarrcart@
We delete this 30 days after your checkout, or 7 days after we send the reminder, whichever comes first. If you do not tick the box, we do not get your email from an unpaid checkout.
To stop cart reminders, reply STOP to the email, use the unsubscribe link in it, or unsubscribe here. When you unsubscribe, we delete any saved cart reminder for your email address and keep only a note that it must not get emails from us.
Giveaway entries
If you enter our $25 gift card giveaway, we save:
- Your email address, and your first name if you give it.
- The date and time you entered.
- That you ticked the boxes saying you are 18 or older, live in the US, and agree to the rules.
- Whether you ticked the optional box to get StarrCart deals and new drops by email.
We use your entry only to run the giveaway, pick the winner, and email the winner. We do not sell or share it, and it is not shared with Facebook, Instagram, Meta or TikTok. On a recorded wheel spin, the winner's email is partly hidden.
You get StarrCart deals and new drop emails only if you ticked the optional box. If you did, your email is also added to our email list (see the email list above), and you can unsubscribe anytime.
We delete all giveaway entries 90 days after the winner is picked. We keep a record of the draw (the date, the number of entries, the random number, and the winner's name and email) for our business records.
Who we share it with
- Stripe, our payment company, which takes your payment.
- CJ Dropshipping, our supplier, which packs and ships your order. We share your name, shipping address, phone number, and email with them. CJ Dropshipping is based outside the United States, so your order details are sent and stored outside the United States.
- Shipping carriers, to deliver your package.
- Cloudflare, which runs our website.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it for advertising.
Visiting the site
Like most websites, our host briefly records technical details such as your internet address, to keep the site working and safe. We use your internet address for a short time to stop too many checkout tries in a row.
How we count visits
We count visits and popular items without cookies and without collecting personal information. We only keep totals for each day, such as how many people visited, which items were looked at or added to carts, which words were searched, and which website sent visitors here (for example, facebook.com).
- We do not store your internet address, and we do not use cookies, advertising tools, or outside tracking companies.
- To count each visitor only once a day, we make a scrambled one-day code. We delete it after that day, so it cannot be used to recognize you later.
- If your browser has "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" turned on, we do not count your visit at all.
On your device
Your cart, your favorites (items you saved with "Save to favorites"), and reading settings (text size and contrast) are stored only in your own browser, not on our server. You can clear them by clearing your browser's site data.
How long we keep it
We keep order information as long as we need it for your order, returns, and our tax and legal records. Then we delete it.
Children
This store is for adults. Purchases must be made by someone 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Contact us using our contact page. We may need to keep some order records when the law requires it.
Changes
If we change this page, we will update it here.
